We'll offer a full-day tour of Marine Corps specific sites in the Washington, DC area. Cost for the full-day tour is
not included in the regular conference fee.
We'll load the charter busses at 8:00 in the morning on Friday from the hotel lower lobby. Our first stop will be the Marine Corps Museum in Quanitico, Virginia. We'll depart after an elegant buffet lunch in the museum and head over to the Washington, DC side of the Potomac River for a tour of 8th & I Marine Corps Barracks which will include the barracks, the commandant's home, and an exhibition of the Silent Drill Platoon. We'll stop at the Iwo Jima memorial on our way back to the hotel. We should be off-loading the busses by 5:00 on Friday, just in time to catch your breath before the conference starts with dinner Friday evening.

The National Museum of the Marine Corps is open from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM every day except Christmas Day. Admission to the National Museum of the Marine Corps is FREE.
*Tour includes the Marine Corps Museum in Quantico, VA, the Iwo Jima Memorial, 8th & I in Washington, DC and an exhibition of the Silent Drill Platoon.
**Cost for the full-day tour is not included in the conference registration fees. The additional price includes the tours, chartered bus transportation and buffet lunch at the Marine Corps Museum.
***Silent Drill Platoon exhibition being held at 8th & I is contingent upon their parade deck being completed in early April. The alternate plan will allow the Silent Drill Platoon to perform at the Marine Corps Museum earlier in the day.
